The Department of Defense is Cracking Down on All Contractors

You must meet all requirements of NIST 800-171 to remain eligible for DOD contracts.  

​​​CMMC is now a published rule.  Whether you’re a Department of Defense (DOD) contractor or want to bid for contracts, you must prove to the DOD that your organization is prepared to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) safely.

NIST 800-171 standards should be your starting point, but implementing the 110 security controls listed by NIST 800-171 standards on your own can be challenging. Even more daunting is demonstrating how you are implementing the controls and providing sufficient evidence during a CMMC Assessment.
